Helical Sciences was founded in 2007 to commercialize technology developed at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro.

Our researchers have been working for six years to develop a rapid test for pathogens and other contaminants, receiving over $1 million in grants.

Helical is led by Gregory L. Bowers, CEO, who was a pharmaceutical industry executive at several startups.
